Our Aim
Our aim at Fort Faith Camp is to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ who said, "And if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me." John 12:32. To achieve this aim, We will endeavor in doctrine and purpose to run a Christian camping program in co-operation with local and state authorities that would exalt the name of Jesus. The natural outome will be a harvest of souls for His honor and glory.
Goals for Campers
- Lead each camper to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
- To build up and encourage young Christians in the faith of Jesus Christ through prayer, Bible study and wholesome activites. Trusting God to meet spiritual needs in their lives through us.
- To set before each camper a life of example as seen through the staff in their Christian conduct, conversation, dress and appearance, and love for one another.
- To give them a vision for missions, whether at home or abroad.
- To strengthen their local churches by encouraging them in faithful attendance and involvement. To be an encouragement to their pastor and youth leader.
- To teach them Christian group living and personal standards on the highest possible plane, always giving the Lord the benefit of a doubt.
- To teach them an awareness of God through nature studies. Also, to teach thm to seek God's blessing through obedience to His Word, showing them their obedience to God through their obedience to their parents.
Statment of Faith
- We believe that the Bible is God's word; that is, was written by men divinely inspired and that it is the supreme infallible authority in all matters of faith and conduct and has been preserved for us by God through the King James Version.
- We believe in God the Father, perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, measureless in power. We beleive that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all that come to Him through Jesus Christ.
- We Believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal and only begotten Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, of virgin birth, sinless in His life, making atonement for the sins of the world by His death. We believe in the Bodily Ressurection, His ascension and His visible, premillennial return to the world.
- We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from God to convince the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgement, and to regenerate, indwell, sanctify and comfort those who believe in Jesus Christ.
- We believe that all men by nature and by chice are sinners but that "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." We believe therefore, that those who accept Christ as Savior and Lord will rejoice forever in God's presence and those who refuse to accept Christ as Lord and Savior will be forever separated from God.
- We believe in the church; a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and of which all regenerated people are members. We believe that a local church, a company of believers in Jesus Christ, each one immersed on a credible confession of faith, and associated for worship, work and fellowship. We believe that to those local churches were committed, for perpetual observance, the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's supper, and that God has laid upon those churches that task of proclaiming to a lost world the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Saviour, and the enthroning of Him as Lord and Master.
- We believe that every human being is primarily and ultimately responsible to God in all matters of faith; that each church is independent and autonomous and must be free from overlordship by an ecclessiastical or political authority that, therefore, Church and State must be kept separate as having different functions, each fulfilling its duties within its sphere but with inter-cooperation.
- We believe that we should take a stand which avoids the weakness of New Evangelicalism defined as a compromise of fundamentalism in doctrinal areas both neo-orthodoxy and modernism in denominational areas, and desire for conferences with errorists for benefit in the religious area. Also, Ecumenical Evangelism defined as the union of both fundamentalists and modernists in crusades for the purpose of winning souls.
